Derek Maddox
Brewmaster
Derek's story with brewing began when he brewed from a kit for the first time on his kitchen stove top. It was love at first hop. And like many love affairs, they can sometimes turn into obsessions - this was the case for Derek. Derek has worked as a professional brewer at Mountain Valley Brewing in Axton, Virginia and Beale's Brewing in Bedford, Virginia. We're thrilled to bring his experience to Renewal Brewing!
Karl Herzberg
Brewhouse/ Operations Manager
Karl is our go-to guy for all things related to the brewery. From recipe development, trouble-shooting, maintenance and brewing; Karl oversees every process to bring only the best experience to our customers. With over 20 years of experiences, Karl brings innovative and fun ideas to Renewal and we're lucky to have him on board.
